VOLUNTEERS WE NEED YOU!!! You are integral to the success of the sale. Why Volunteer? It's Fun!! Look over the merchandise and meet other like minded people. If you work a FOUR HOUR SHIFT before, during or after the sale, you will EARN AN ADDITIONAL 5% COMMISSION ON YOUR SALES. AND YOU SHOP FIRST at the Volunteer Sale - Friday (BEFORE the Consignors Sale and the Public Sale). We only have a limited number of slots, so contact us ASAP. NEW VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES HOW CAN I HELP? Post Sun Valley Kids flyers on community/private bulletin boards. Distribute Sun Valley Kids flyers to child oriented businesses or "mom" groups. Distribute Sun Valley Kids flyers door to door in neighborhood(s). Flyers must be placed between door and frame. WHAT DO I GET IN RETURN? Volunteer for 2 Hours: Shop First at the Volunteers Sale - Friday @ 4:30pm. Volunteer for 4 Hours: Shop First at the Volunteers Sale - Friday @ 4:30pm AND earn an additional 5% commission on your sales. Volunteer for 2 Hours during set up or tear down: Shop First at the Volunteers Sale - Friday @ 4:30pm AND earn an additional 5% commission on your sales. Special areas of need: Rack Assembly & Disassembly(Heavy Labor) – Help is needed to assemble clothing racks and move tables. This is a good job for your hubby! Flyer Distribution – Flyers are distributed to daycare centers, preschools, children’s gyms and other locations throughout the area. Flyer Posting – Help is needed to post flyers on community and private bulletin boards (where allowed). Gift Bag Stuffing – We have over 250 gift bags that need to be filled before the preview sale. A volunteer who can transport them to the sale by Thursday at 12 pm may do these in advance. Do you have a special talent or access to other resources that can help the sale? We can trade for those too!  Here are some examples. Advertising - Placing Ads in community, subdivision or company newsletters and bulletin boards. Passing out flyers to doctors offices, schools and daycare centers. Newspaper, TV or Radio Coverage – Do you know someone “in the industry”? If so, recruit them to help publicize the sale or offer us “friend & family” advertising rates and receive a volunteer shift in exchange. Printing Services – Do you have access to a copier or printing services? If so, trade your copy and printing services for a shift. Restaurant or Catering – Own a restaurant or catering business or know someone who does? Earn a shift when you help us to feed our hungry volunteers. Sign, Banner or Screen printing – We will be in need of banners and t-shirt printing. Can you help? If so, you will earn a shift. Recruit help! Have your mother, father, husband, sister, and/or friend help us and we will credit you for their time. Have another idea? Can you offer something else to help make the sale successful? Contact us with your idea and let’s see what we can work out! We only have a limited number of positions available. We will fill positions on a first-come basis with consideration given to prior consignors. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. Please understand that we are counting on you to follow through. Should you fail to fulfill your obligation, or find a replacement, you will not be allowed to shop during the presale and an additional 20% of your commission will revert back to SVK. Please understand that these guidelines have been put in to place to maintain a high quality sale.
