ABOUT US Sun Valley Kids is a mom (with dad’s help) run business. My name is Julie Baumgarth and I LOVE to shop for a bargain. Being the mother of three children ages 8, 6, and 2, I have always been “thrifty”. My first outlet was searching garage sales for brand name bargains, but was often disappointed to shop all day to find almost nothing. Then I checked out consignment shops and found great quality for buying items, but was disappointed in what I could earn for my name brand items. In 2003 I participated in my first children’s consignment sale as a consignor and shopper. I was amazed at the quality of items for sale as well as the amount I made selling my kids' outgrown items. I found the sale was much easier than a garage sale and I made A LOT more money than I had ever made having garage sales or selling at consignment shops. In the summer of 2005 we moved to Phoenix and I immediately began to search for a consignment sale - only to find they did not exist here. I couldn’t believe it. After extensive research I held the first children’s consignment sale in Phoenix in March 2006. The reponse was overwhelmingly positive for both shoppers and consignors. Watch us grow!! Sun Valley Kids offers a distinct shopping event for kids items – clothing, toys, furniture, baby gear, maternity, bedding and decor, videos/books/games, outdoor toys, and anything else in great condition. We give families the opportunity to make more from their quality used items as well as buy at discount prices. We have the ability to offer a more diverse selection than typical consignment stores or garage sales all in one place. Our consignors earn from 65-80% of the selling price as well as shopping early at the presale. In addition, the unsold items (not picked up by the sellers) are donated to local charities to help needy families. Everybody wins.
